Planning to enroll at a 91ÁÔÆæcommunity college in Fall 2026?

The CSU Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) is an agreement between a 91ÁÔÆæcommunity college student and 91ÁÔÆæState University, Long Beach (91ÁÔÆæ) that guarantees admission to 91ÁÔÆæ in a select major* if all admission requirements are met within three years.

The program was built for students who may have experienced academic, financial, or personal challenges that impacted their original path to 91ÁÔÆæ. 

*Not all majors participate. See the list below for more information. 

The TSP application window is August 1 to October 31, 2026.

You're eligible for the TSP program if you're enrolling in a 91ÁÔÆæCommunity College and have not earned any college credit since completing high school or earning a GED.

  • ​If you're taking college courses in the summer immediately following your high school graduation, you’re still eligible for TSP.
  • If you have taken dual enrollment coursework while in high school, you’re still eligible for TSP.

  • Guaranteed admission to participating majors (see the list below)
  • Receive personalized guidance from a 91ÁÔÆæ counselor to create an educational plan
  • Map out coursework using the online CSU Transfer Planner portal

  • Complete transfer requirements with three years
  • Meet the transfer requirements set by 91ÁÔÆæ
    • Major GPA
    • Golden 4
    • Major preparation courses
    • 60 transferable credits
  • Major change is not allowed
  • Update transfer planner every semester with grades

91ÁÔÆæ may enroll in the TSP program between August 1 and October 31, 2026. Access the application online via .

How to Apply:

  1. Create a TS planner account
  2. Complete the Transfer Success Pathway Eligibility questionnaire
  3. Select 91ÁÔÆæ as your university and select a major
  4. Select your community college
  5. Submit your enrollment
  6. Your application will be reviewed by 91ÁÔÆæ. You will receive eligibility confirmation communication within seven to 10 days of submission.

Schedule: 
10 a.m. Fill out your Cal State Apply application with admissions evaluators at the Horn Center.  
11 a.m. Take a guided tour of campus and see what is waiting for you at the Beach.  
12 p.m. Visit the iconic Shark Lab and learn about their work with sharks along the Southern 91ÁÔÆæcoast.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Applicants can attend multiple community colleges. However, a student can only apply to one program and have one Transfer Success Pathway agreement.

If a student decides to change to another campus or program in the future, they must submit a request for release and allow time for the campus to review. 91ÁÔÆæ can request to cancel their agreement at any time. However, the ability to select another campus or major is only during the enrollment period between August 1 and October 31, 2026.

 

If a student requests to be released from their original agreement, they can elect to do an agreement with another campus or program provided it's within the filing period for an agreement. If a student is deemed to be ineligible for the TSP program by any campus, they won't be able to enter into any agreement with any other CSU campus, and those students will not be able to utilize CSU Transfer Planner.

Once a student has entered into an agreement for one of 91ÁÔÆæ's program, unfortunately the program selection can't be changed to another 91ÁÔÆæ program. 

Please be aware that not every degree program at 91ÁÔÆæ is eligible for the TSP. If a program you're interested in isn't listed in the "Available Degree Programs" section on this page, you're invited to apply through the standard application pathway for transfer students.

You won't be able to sign a TSP agreement with 91ÁÔÆæ beyond the deadline, but another CSU may still be accepting TSP agreements. We recommend using Transfer Planner as a tool.

91ÁÔÆæ can change their 91ÁÔÆæ TSP agreement to another CSU by submitting a release request. This request must be completed within the application window period.
