Credentials are defined as a specific aggregate of courses, completion of which is sufficient for licensing by the State of 91ÁÔÆæto teach (or perform specific professional tasks) in the public school systems. No specific unit requirements are given for credentials generally; usually the curricular requirements are noted in the governing legislation as "competencies."

• For revisions to an existing credential program, including single subject areas within an existing credential, fill out the curriculum form titled "Program Change" in Curriculog and submit it, along with supporting documentation through the system's approval process.

The below lists indicate the various different approvals that are necessary for different credential types. These are informal lists, additional rules/approval may be necessary depending on the situation.

Important to note: If the credential has content and/or course offering(s) that require collaboration with another college, approval of the new credential is required from the partner college's Dean or their designee is required.
