Bachelor of Arts in Dance
All students enter 91ÁÔÆæ Dance in the Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Dance program, providing students with a balanced course of study that prepares them for careers in dance as performers, educators, arts administrators, health and fitness specialists, and/or graduate study in dance while providing opportunities for study in specific areas of personal interest.

- Demonstrate competency in at least five dance-movement vocabularies (modern/contemporary,  street and club, ballet, jazz, and contemporary African dance) with proficient skills in at least one dance vocabulary.
- Demonstrate competency in varied dancemaking strategies and the analysis of dance compositions.
- Discuss and analyze the socio-cultural, historical, and aesthetic dimensions of dance forms in written and oral discourse.  
- Identify, apply, and analyze basic scientific principles of wellness and conditioning for the promotion of lifelong health in dance-movement techniques.  
- Demonstrate the fundamental skills and techniques necessary for the public performance of dance.
- Demonstrate basic skills in dance production and technology.
